I asked a question about XP e but nobody replied- even after a bump... Anyway, is this something i should have access to as part of my microsoft developer's network subscription?
HELLO!!!???
car computer rev 5: 8" lilliput and usual suspects
It looks like you have the Noritake VFD Display, where did you get the blue overlay for that? I am looking for a red overlay.
A trail version of XP-E can downloaded from the microsoft website.
I downloaded windows xp embedded and when i went to setup it said wrong os. do i need to burn disk one and two to a cd and boot from then?Originally Posted by Wizardtm

I have the 60 day eval version avaliable on microsoft's website, make sure you have your XP pro dev system running SP1
As long as you rebuild the image every 2 months you won't run out of time. Untill i can get hold of XPE for reasonable money anyway...
Elemental: I do not have a noritake yet ( only running char lcds ) but i'd prefer graphical - desperatly trying to find one to run the liquid mp3 plugin... (http://liquid-mp3.schijf.org/) Try looking in their forums - I believe they mention some stockists of the display

faster boot times is number 1 - I believe with read only partitions you can elimate the need to shutdown. And a basic XPE only needs about 150mb of space...
