2003 Sentra Spec-v "Sentraputer" Finally installed.

Specs:

Compaq Evo n1000v Laptop (2ghz P4 512ram 60gig hdd)
GPS: MS S&T 2004 and Delorme 2004 (I like S&T More) with Delorme WAAS GPS Receiver (USB)
Some no name Ebay Motorized 7" Display (from Hong Kong)

Stereo:

Clarion MP3 Head Unit
Clarion EQ
2 Pioneer Amps (One 4x50 and One 2x350)
12" Alpine Type-R sub.
Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.5" Components in front and 6.5" Coaxials in the back.

Well... after months of looking for the right motorized screen. And a few weekends of work. It is finally finished (Almost)

Here are some pics:

First the Subbox and Amprack

Next the Closed screen, Clarion HU and Clarion EQ (My Whistler is in there too)

Now the screen is open displaying the Sentraputer Interface. From here I can access the GPS, MP3s, DVDplayer and OBDII Interface program.

And the mini Illuminated Keyboard in the Glove Compartment: (The letters on the keys glow bring green)

The whole thing is run from my laptop under the drivers seat. I have a Wireless (ir) pointing device that controls the mouse. Next plans are for a small rear-view camera and XM Radio. (Not that I need it... I have over 10,000 MP3s on the harddrive of the laptop.

Sub/Amp box took me the better part of last weekend to finish.

The entire thing is not completely finished... I still have a few small things to do to make it look alittle better.

Very nice install.. i like the keyboard! :-)

do you still have an ebay-link to a such kind of display? do you still like it? any problems? what about the prize..?

Dude that is so sick ! how did you get it to bring up the spec v options menu like that? my brother is a huge se-r, sr20 fanatic and id love to hook up something like that for him in his nx or better yet in his g20

are u manually turning on the laptop whenu start the car?
ur clarion deck accepts any line level input?
and whats thhat thing that reads "highway"?

Smell that? This reeks of BS. I believe the amps and keyboard is real, but that display looks fake to me.

I mean think about it:
--the guy's using a custom interface specific to his vehicle that has a design that's not avaliable with any known carputer software (least none listed on mp3car.com),
---he doesn't mention anything about the software despite the fact the interface is really the only unique aspect of his car,
---but he does go into great detail about the amps, stereo, gps, laptop, LCD and even the keyboard
---9 days after someone asked what the interface was the poster still hasn't responded.

Now which is more likely:
1) It's a fake
2) This guy's some computer guru capable of writing a beautiful customer carputer program that can play mp3s, movies, and has gps capabilities, yet decides not to profit from his many, many hours of programming and graphics design by mentioning "you can get the software from me at this website".

So I'm calling BS until we get some proof.

yeah, because things like media engine arent skinnable, now are they?
