VERY VERY nice peice of ART!.. any updates so far?![]()
You can buy the housing for the OEM nav screen with the CD player for around 500 bucks. The screen is actually a seperate part. In theory you could fabricate a new screen part to go into the housing; however it would be VERY difficult and VERY expensive; however the motorized workings would all be waiting for you inside the housing.
Oh and another thing -- a normal 16:9 7" LCD would not fit in it unfortunately.. too tall. You'd have to find a panel that is somehow shorter.

Looking at your photos and all that stuff looks great!!!!
Although i have lots of doubts when its comes my turn. I´ve been wondering for a month to put a computer in my car. Therefore these are my questions:
1: Is there any problem, with the car's computer, if you disconnect any cable from the climatizer or the radio or the dsp system. I mean, do i have to disconnect the batteries or wait a time after switching off the car before i do this?
2: How do i connect the computer to the speakers of the car. I think I should buy a Haman Ak of something like it. And the connectors that go to the bmw connector in order to link it with the haman.
Thanks
You have a PM. Excellent work by the way! Looks OEM.Originally Posted by srcstc
