I'm working on one for a friend of mine, and I'll post pics of that one in his 1997 Silverado in a few weeks.
Cheers.

So did you decide to loose the buttons on the front of the lilliput? How do you power it on,, change from vga, input etc.
If i do this, i plan on keeping my buttons if i can.
Also did you put the back on the lilliput on there? If i can relocate my headunit where the ac controls are and then put the ac controls elsewhere i might be up.
Mine is a 96 limited.
Yes, I don't like the way it looks with the buttons on there (personal preference), so I chopped them off.
I don't need to switch inputs for anything. All input comes from my computer via VGA. The ITPS powers the monitor on and off with the computer and works great. You just have to leave the power button "jumped".
And don't forget you can always change the settings, inputs, etc. with the infrared remote. I haven't messed with the settings on the screen once since I installed it, so it's a non-issue with me. I opted for the clean look over being able to adjust my screen once a year.
No, I didn't put the back on the lilliput because there's not even a front to mount it to. And because it's inside the dash, I couldn't see a reason for the back. Better circulation for cooling this way.![]()
So where is the IR hiding?

I added a few more pics of the screen in operation. What do you think of my "Please Wait" screen?![]()

i did some painting this weekend onsome bondo'd pieces for mounting my PC (haven't started the screen bezel yet). Thanks again for your tips, they were most helpful ... i'm very pleased with how the pieces turned out so far.
You wouldn't believe how hard it is to find flat paints around here! Both Home Depot and Lowes didn't have any Rustoleum flat black ... walmart has Krylon SEMI-flat black ... which i got but it was too shiney. So I ended up settling for some other brand flat black from lowes.
I'm wondering about a top coat. Did you use one at all? I got some satin clear topcoat but it made the piece VERY shiney. Should I try some matte topcoat? or just go without?
