That's the same thing I'm going to do in my girlfriend explorer, do you have a complete finish pic installed on the explorer and with the LCD on? so I can show to her how it will look like?

It's a 1.5. The screen almost fit perfectly I just had to cut the rear plastic a bit. I've deided to go with a 5 channel amp, stock speakers, and a 10 inch sub. I'm custom installing the sub using fiber glass. I'm an extreme newbe to this car detailing stuff but it's fun.......and time consuming.

    NICE JOB

I don't have it in the dash yet because I'm still working on the wiring with the speakers and power supplies but stay tuned. I hope to be complete by Thursday.

Thanks to everyone for their willingness to share their knowledge. I NEVER could have done this without the priceless information posted here.

That opening is NOT 1.5 DIN. It's a little tiny bit under double DIN. You can make a double DIN unit fit into any Ford with that style radio.

Ive got a sport trac to. Was wondering how you were planning on hooking up the audio. Using the factory parts or getting new equipment. How hard was it to do that to the Bezel(feel like doing another one)?. Any new updates on the car?
