2nd carputer project

Project car: 1993 Lexus SC300, DOHC V6, 5 Speeds Manual.

Via M10000, 512MB Ram, 160Gb Seagate Baraccuda, Lilliput 7", PW-120A, ITPS controller, PocketPC PDA as secondary GPS (after I install the Earthmate)

My glove compartment is so small that barely fit the M10000 and the slim DVD drive. The HD is mounted externally using a 100Mb Iomega Zip drive made it fit. I got all the PDA' Destinator and Tomtom maps on the hard drive and can upload maps to the PDA as needed.

I still need to clean up some wiring and install the EarthMate GPS, Wifi and the Microphone.

Glad to some pics of your install. I was wondering how did you get the LCD to stay put on there.

Hey Bxscig, You are on the acura-tl board right?

I used a huge L-Bracket that usually come with aftermarket CD changer. I bend the bracket to match the contour of the dash where the dash and the center console meet and pop it in there with doublesided tape. As for the screen, I just use industrial strength velcro. It stay on very well.
