I'm sure there's a 4-wheeling club somewhere in central GA... You don't have to have a lift and big tires to go wheelin'

some of the most fun wheeling I've done was in a stock Jeep, then you can think about lift/tires/lockers/armor/etc. Plus, it's a great way to meet some nice people (for the most part, Jeepers are really friendly).

I just noticed you used Kappa's. I've been planning on getting those, since I've heard so many good things about them, and I'm generally a fan of Infinity's stuff.... I just haven't had a chance to listen to 'em.... How do you like the sound?

That looks great! I originally planned to place my computer in my armrest as well,, but I had to relocate my ac/heat controls and place them there and then i placed my head unit where the ac controls were. Its still not together yet, hopefully some time this summer lol

The kappa's have been good so far. It's hard for me to say really because my EQ is cutting out all freqs under 60Hz so I have no low end. But the mids and high's sound great. It's just hard to get a feel for the full sound without low end.

I'm wiring up a sub tonight so we'll see how it goes then. But i'm sure you'll be happy with the kappas ... they'r'e pretty cheap on ebay.

oh and there are a few 4 wheelin clubs around here. i just haven't gone to any meets basically cause i'm a wuss and hate going to things alone. Maybe i'll just suck it up one day and go.

What kind of paint did you use?

I used a krylon grey primer ... and then some brand i can't remember flat black (something like home essentials)

If you can get Rustoleum, or Krylon flat black get that. If you can get SEM paint even better. But just about any interior paint will work.

Why did you bondo the mobo mount, though? Was that just for aesthetics? It's down inside the armrest, so no one really sees it, right? Or is the bondo holding something on?

And I notice your mobo is unshielded, like mine (and like most, I guess). Does it interfere with your keyfob doorlocks from a distance when it's on?

And uh... your gallery is messed up. There are warnings on the photo pages.

the bondo on the mobo mount were mainly for aesthetics, and partially for function. I stuck the mobo mounts to the plywood with epoxy, so they probably weren't going anywhere ... but the bondo helps make sure they stay put.

Plus it just looks good.

And yeah, you can see a little around the edge ... you'd be able to see more if the wood was in it's natural state. Of course, I could have just painted the wood black ... but I kinda feel like everything is worth doing right, even if it won't be seen much. Plus ... it was good practice for bondo on the screen bezel :-)

I haven't noticed any issues with the locks while the PC is on ... then again, I haven't tried. You're talking about locking and unlocking the doors with the keyless entry while the PC is running right?

Yeah I noticed the issue with gallery. I've messed with it a bit but haven't cared enough to figure out what's up. I have a feeling it's a server issue and I don't have much luck with getting my host to resolve issues properly.

I'm inspired by it -- and I bought some wood and bondo on the way home. And a router attachment for my dremel. I'm trying to mount some external drive parts in an old cdrom chassis, and it's not a clean fit. And I started thinking about your mobo holder, and the light went on. "I can make most of this out of wood and bondo!"

Yep. My "case" is the cardboard box the EPIA came in. Worked out real nice. Wish I had wrapped it in foil, though.

The error looks like it's complaining about a path restriction. But the file it's complaining about *is* in the path that it says it's not. Maybe it's a trailing-slash thing (there's an extra one in that path). But prolly nothing you can help. (You can turn off warnings in Gallery's index.php if you want, though.)
