I don't have radio on mine yet, just use the HU if I need it.

Howevr there are good reports of the DAB5/FM one that craigbrass is doing. I'm in he process of testing one out. (not got it to the car yet)

Another SW question, have you got a working airbag?

This SW is the E46 M3 one, it's a dual stage Airbag, while the E36 is only single stage. So, it's not working of course. It was very wise from you to use the SW that u chose if u care about keeping the airbag.

for me, I couldn't resist the thickness to scarify my airbag

Yes, that was one consideration I had.

I also have a non M3 SW from an E46 without the airbag, and was wondering if you had got the airbag to work I might have tried it as well.

I can always get my steering wheel recovered and thickened if I really wanted to do that.

When you want to get the SW buttons working, look to pick up an E39 slip ring, they are exactly the same as the e36 one except they have the extra three wires for the iBus and cruise control.

I already have the E39 slip ring I just need to order the IBus interface and program it .

BTW I came across one guy that claims to make the E46 airbag works in a single stage mode in his E36 .. I can't remember which forum really .. but.. how the hell can we know for sure if it's working or not!

It's not a mouse .. it's a volume knob. Right and left Volume up and down, press and rotate right skip track, press and rotate left previous track, one press Mute, and long press hibernate!

Those are my settings, u can customized it the way u want. It's essential to have an external volume control .. I can't rely on the touch volume control alone .. sometimes I need a faster and more accurate way
