here are pictures with everithing: http://zvi.home.ge/pics/?dir=vextra
and here - some pics
I'm hoping to install mine in the dash of my Frontera (When I get it). And it would be nice to know how complicated it is to use bondo/fiberglass to get the job done nicely.
Did you just fill out where the old console used to be?
VW Mk2 Golf GTI 16V:
Kenwood KDC-W6527 HU
Silver Travla C134, Slot Loading DVD/CDRW,
256MB, VIA Epia MII 12000, Carnetix 60W, Xenarc VGA/Composite TS and a GPS Mouse
well actually it is not too complicated, I never did this before, even haven seend the fiberglass before besides it I have used bolts to fix the monitor frame. If you have looked at the pictures, there is complete sequence of fiberglass/bondo/glue-ing the dash, I have used original dash, yes, where HU was. I did myself fiberglass, sanding and bondoing, that is on pictures, but final bondo and painting was done by proffessional car painting master in car repair service, it costed about 7$ to me, so I decided to give it to the master rather doing/spoiling it myself.Originally Posted by chewiee

Now, I am waiting for VoomPC case and M1-ATX, will redesign the electronics slightly. Also want to put Linux, which will boot from CF, but could not get normal frontend so far... thinking about putting PyCar..
what you mean, of the car?
It was just a regular car radio in the dash. unfortunately I did not shot the stock dash, was so unpatient to hack it but you can see removed stock dash on the pictures under the link I put in first post and on my signature
