Yeah it's molded... I took the original dash peice, cut out the frame and bondo's the lilliput in .. sanded, then sprayed with a texture paint. It's a little glossier than I want, but for now it'll have to do .. in the dark it looks so ridiculously awesome.Originally Posted by NoPistonPC

I forgot to add, the motherboard uses all onboard stuff, so I have NO AGP or PCI cards. The onboard sound is UNREAL and sounds ridiculous hooked into the car's Hardon Karman 10-speaker system. I used a little cd-changer adaptor as the input.

Congratulations on your install. Looks real good in there. Are you going to be trusting the GPS/Nav for this journey or are you sticking to ol' maps?
That's a LONG trip ahead of you. Good luck. Safe travels.

It's in... it's finally installed!!!! But never finished!

Def. gonna trust my trip to the GPS. If the computer stops working or something happens (no signal) then we just wing it. Now a day I bet it's real hard to get lost. I'm sure you can do it.. maybe it'll make for some fun adventures! We will have an Atlas of the states with us.Originally Posted by carpcnoobie

Looking good.
did you have an OBC? if so what have you done with it.
I have an E36 and am putting my screen in where the OBC is, but not aangled as you have.
Still trying to finalise the OBC placement.
are you using the asus barebones system? If so, does the opus powersupply fit in the case, and how hard was it to get it working.
