Very nice and clean. Awesome job!!!
What is the power plug plugged into on the inverter? Surge protector? Noise filter? I know without my noise filter on my inverter I would get tons of noise.
Nice install! Can you pose a close-up of the USB ports you exposed in your center conosle? I'm thinking of doing something similar and am wondering about the cleanest way to do it.
Very nice, that monitor looks factory!

Thanks guys! Yeah this job really excited me. I have about $750 into it so far with the computer, screen, accessories, etc. All the labor was free coutesy of my friend that is a custom fiberglass/mdf guru. The power plug on the inverter is a surge protector because I don't trust the brand of inverterDo you know where I can buy a noise filter to plugin? I do pick up a very tiny hum at high volume when the engine is running that I would like to eliminate. The system is completely stable. I was railing the car around corners and though potholes with my sub in the trunk cranked to its full 1000 watt ripping the car to peices and I suffered no bad sectors or rear/write errors. The MDF enclosure seems to dampen the virbration quite a bit. I'm glad you all like it. Phase 2 is to add a 1,000,000 candle power IR spot light in the front gril and a forward looking camera mounted behind my rear view mirror so I can have night vision in my car. I'll post pics when I'm done with that after the 15th of this month.
We built the entire system to break down easily. Every switch and cable has disconnects including the USB and the button and the screen. The USB ports were pretty simple to do. Purchase a couple Female/Male USB converters and cut the holes in your console to match their size. Flush mount them and hot glue them from behind with a very hard plastic like hot-glue. Once it sets up you simply plug your cables into the back of it and replace your console. So its still really easy to take my console out of my car without having to take a mile of cable with it.
If any of you know where I can find a Digital Volt Meter that is fairly small please let me know. Once I find one I'm replacing the clock above my screen with it so I can monitor my batterys output while the car is in the accessory state powering the computer. Also I'm going to test the S1 sleep state on the PC to guage power consumption to see how long my car can keep the computer in a light sleep mode without having to hibernate. This way when I start the car the computer will return instantly.
