    Lightbulb Extreme Makeover

    This is not exactly a CARputer - I modified my old box just like test run before building a pc for my car (many pictures):

    The orange fan is by Thermaltake. @ 12v it sounds like Cessna, but @ 8 it's virtually silent.

    After my original post I received several requests asking about temperature characteristics of my modified box. Here they are:

    Ambient (room) 78F

    Initial boot:

    MB Temperature 28 C / 82 F
    CPU Temperature 37.5 C / 101 F

    After 2 hours of UT2004:

    MB Temperature 30 C / 86 F
    CPU Temperature 43 C / 109 F
