Looks great! I wish my dash had that size opening, since it looks practically stock in your car.

Nice job, I kinda regret not putting my computer under the seat. Glad to see there is enough room.

Connecting the OPUS to the Motherboard

So how did you connect the OPUS to the Motherboard through the computer case? Did you have to drill some holes?

The reason I am asking is that I am going to use the same PSU and I have a Castronic C134 Case. I was debating on how I am going to get the PSU cord into the case.

    Thanks!

I went through the pci slot to run the cables to the motherboard.

Can i say what an awesome install and thanks for the info as i will be having my lilliput screen done using your pictures and info next month.

Im thinking though what have you done with the power button and the other buttons on the liliput? Do you not need them because it all can be controlled/edited from the lilliput remote unit?

Also am i right in thinking the lilliput has to be switched on every time you use the screen?
Because i have an ITPS controller that is being used without the LM regulator for my 19v P4 computer so how can i set my lilliput screen to switch on automatically each time the ignition is switched on?

If you could help me out with some answers or anybody else that has some advice would be truly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance guys!!

The reason I have the switches is so that I can control whether or not the computer comes on automatically. In the off postion the computer does not come on automatically, in the on postion the computer does come on automatically with the igntion. For the screen I had to hack off the buttons to fit it in the DIN. I have the screen wired from the PSU so it comes on when the computer gets power. However if I don't want the screen on but I don't want to shut down the computer I can use the other switch to power the screen off.

As for the remote I don't have the remote sensor on my screen so I can't edit anything unless I reattch it.

Hope that answers your questions. Feel free to ask more.

    Love the install.

However 1 question that was brought up before - how do you (or anyone else for that matter) address winter cold months? I'm afraid to boot the PC in the morning when it's so cold. As well, when you run the heater, what about concerns that the heat will go straight to the PC?

    Nice car buddy.

I seem to remember your username from the Scoobynet forums and if im right you may of come down to a Blackpool illuminations cruise a couple years back?

I forgot about this thread but its quite good timing really as i have just purchased a proper shutdown controller now to power my in car pc as i ended up going with an inverter i am not happy with.
I have particular power requirements because my base unit is 19v and i ended up ordering the Carnetix CNX-P1900 shutdown controller to both shutdown the pc on ignition on / off and also power my Zenarc 7" touchsceen monitor.

You will be proud to know CW42 that the newer shape scooby is perfect to fit a 7" screen with some modifications to the unit.
Looks like stock when its fitted.

    Thanks.
