    It's a kit from evo-r.com ..

    Unfortunately, there is no Sirius module for Pioneer radios.. That Alpine looks pretty sweet.. I dunno if I could deal with the wacky converted Japanese radio station numbers though

    @defsquad
    I changed gps receivers because the BU-303 was getting a little bit flaky as time went on.. sometimes it wouldn't lock for days... but then suddenly work again?? then off again.. then sometimes it would work but I got only a few satillites and lots of dropouts while I was navigating... Cold startup time was getting longer and longer too.. I don't know if it had anything to do with being inside the sharkfin but maybe the silicon wore off over time and some moisture got inside?? The car is a garage queen though and very rarely sees precipitation.

    I read on that Pioneer site (linked above) that their receivers can be used with Sirius with a module. Hmm - I think I will give them a call.
    Thanks.

    Sweet - I think I am going to buy that deck. A Cassette player would be much more useful to me than the MD player on that fancy Japanese Alpine deck that I bought. I would also like you say not have to futz with the radio station converter. It is just sooo cool though, so it might be tough to part with. In case you have more free time to waste, are there any features on that Alpine that are worth keeping that maybe the Pioneer doesn't have? I am a rookie on some of this stuff, and I didn't see anything that stood out...

    Mike, i decided to get the sharkfin for my bu-303. however i'm totally unsure of how to get the wires through the trunk, weather stripping, roof (and have it be watertight of course); any suggestions?

    Yo, that's going to be tough.. I had it easy because my car is a hatchback..

    I can see only 2 options for you: The least invasive would be to put the sharkfin on your trunk.. and wire it through a crack or something.. or the best looking option would be to drill a hole in your roof and send the wire through there.. It's always to tough to drill a hole through your baby though.. but that would make one awesome install..

    I dunno if you read through this whole thread but I had a hell of a time getting the BU-303 to fit inside the sharkfin.. I would suggest something slightly bigger like an "Audi style" sharkfin or maybe even a slightly smaller gps receiver
