    Thanks so much!!!

The car is worth whatever a used 2004 350z Enthusiast with 24K miles is worth.. Mods don't really add anything to the value of a car unless you find someone willing to buy the car with all the mods which is usually difficult because everyone has different tastes and not everyone likes a previously modded car

but if you are asking how much i dumped into the car above the car price? ~$30K

by "board," do you mean the relay before the switch? The relay was setup to as an alternate ignition source.. my own ignition source directly off the battery... because i have a lot of accessories hanging off it, I didn't want to use/abuse the stock ACC line.. probably overkill but the whole car is overkill anyways

the switch i put before the PC but after the relay so I can control when the PC turns on only but not affect all the accessories i have hanging off that same line(radar detector, inverter, amp turn on, reverse camera, defi HUD, yada yada)

Hey thanks. I think when I get mine ill just interrupt the red ac line to the computer and put a switch. Ill only have the computer and the screen so I don't expect it to kill my car, and I have a ford so unfortunately my power does not shut off when my car is turned off. I can still have things plugged in and they will still run.

There has to be some ignition source that turns off with the car.. does your radio stay on even when you take the key out of the ignition?

    leemik car looks great!

I have a 2003 350z with the stock audio, i drive a bit to work so have been wanting something to make the ride a bit more enjoyable. I was looking at putting in a touch screen with a mac mini (that way it can run osx or windows depending on how i feel)

The only concern is the power and wiring. I was wondering if you had any pictures of the wires and how they are connected. Also some pictures or pointers on how you ran the cables from the front to the back. That always seems to be the biggest mystery to me. I just dont want to buy all this and make it look like crap.

    appericate the thread!

    d link dir 450 sprint pc 5740

Leemik: I saw that you had the same setup for the router and the sprint conection card. Do you know how to setup the router with sprint information when it asks for wwan username, password, server name, and dial number.

I believe I have the username and password that I set up the account with, and the dial number of #777. But I cant find out what the server name is. Thanks.

Well you have to activate the card first on a PC..
Then, all i did was plug it into the router and select the card type..

I don't recall doing anything else with passwords or anything like that.. It was pretty much plug and play once it is activated..

    @cookieman12
sorry, i don't have any diagrams like that.. if you know how to hook up a typical car amplifier it's pretty much the same in terms of power.. and if you know how to connect a computer and peripherals then you should have no problem either except buying long cables

    sprint pc 5740

Thanks Leemik. I finally spoke with a sprint rep that knew what was up. I had to put in the last 4 digits of the card id in the password field to get the card running through the router. But oh well, it works now.

Mike......have you tried the EVDO/ Slingblade TV link while driving??? How stable is it while you are mobile????
I have almost the same setup on my EVDO Verizon XV6600 PDA/Phone for TV, but I'm using Orb.Com to stream my TV and it gets alittle choppy. I also have Iguidance GPS on my phone and LOVE IT!
But it is definatley time to upgrade and grow up to a CarPC like yours!
What a incredible job you did!

it has been on while driving a couple of times.. stability depends on the area you are driving through(cell coverage).. I haven't had any major issues with it at all.. at even 80+ mph where it's not supposed to work (I had to try that haha)..

I think it's the best mobile TV option available.. you get all your cable channels that you would at home, you don't need a huge ugly antenna, video quality excellent (just like sitting on my couch) and you get this almost anywhere in the country.
