Nice Car nice install but initially you installed the system for navigation right?

Just curious if you can afford the car what does another $1200-1400 matter for factory navigation mind you u cant do all the neat stuff like with a car PC.

Did you cut out the sheet metal behind your licence plate for the camera?

Just my curiosity?

Actually, if you check your manual, there are pins on the board for a second port. They're standard connectors, so you can scavenge the ribbon cable and jack from an old computer or, since you're already bold enough to tear up your new car, look up the pinouts and wire it directly to your device.

Does our little hobby make sense to anyone but us? lol Anyways, the computer costs me way less than the factory nav.. which will run you closer to $2000. Map updates are like $400 a pop.. rip off..

yes, the hole is like the diameter of a pencil..most people don't even notice it..

I know I'm not using the carputer to it's full capability right now but I really wanted navigation and that cost like $1200-$1400 for a standalone unit.. So for about 50% less.. I got navigation/OBDII/mame/surfing for now

I'm just not ready to get rid of my head unit yet.. but we'll see going forward..

I added a front USB port.

and I also replaced my rear cig lighter with a reset button because Windows XP doesn't always like to play nice... It's a red illuminated Bulgin Vandal switch.
