SVX worlds greatest car, well at least thats my opinion. I had dreamed of having a computer in my SVX, but I had to get rid of it, it was becoming to costly. Probably one of the worst decions I have ever made. Anyways, awesome install, do you have any more pics?

I made it to your site, nice pics. Does the door close to hide the touch screen?

I have a lot more pictures of my progress with the carcomputer at:

    For pics of the SVX:

Enjoy. I love my SVX. It has about 64,7xx miles on it and runs pretty darn good. AWD with a great torque band is awfully sweet. There's some nice stuff going on in the SVX community. There's now support for STi 6-speed tranny swaps, rear diff swaps to 4.11 or 4.44 gears, ECU upgrades, ECU NOS controller software, turbo setups (custom), and two supercharger setups (one of which looking to go mainstream).

    Very nice

My SVX is breaking down on me recently. It's a pain, seems to be one thing after another. Funny thing is, it needs minor work but is still running strong and feels like there's nothing wrong.

As for the subs ...the amp is rated at around 1200w RMS bridged or parallel. I had it in Crown's parallel mode, but oddly enough it wasn't as loud as bridging it. So it's bridged into a 1.5Ohm load (dual 6ohm coils - paralleled) and slams real nice. I've already eaten two optima batteries with the setup and it's getting very annoying. Thank god for their free replacement warranty.

I have some annoyances with my carputer setup though. I think I might ditch the VIA motherboard and PCI sound card all together for a simple miniATX motherboard with built in 5.1 SPDIF output, vga, usb2, and firewire. It would be a nice upgrade from the junk 800mhz via. Sometime the riser card won't be seated properly and the computer won't boot. It happens rarely, but the fact is it happens.

All in all the setup's still working good after two years. But it's time to rethink some things. A mini ATX board would be cheaper anyways then upgrading to a VIA. I have room for it so what the heck.

Glad you guys like my setup ...i like it too
