Looks awesome dude. Love all the mods. I a '99, and have the OH console, a custom center console which houses my carputer, 7" LCD molded into the bezel. I have a few pics of my truck at my website www.pepesranger.com.
I need more info on the Electronic temperature control though. PM me with the forum and maybe the thread that this John Griggs posts on about the controls. I'm a member of a few ranger forums too, just don't post much on them anymore.
Thanks,
Chris

dang. i have the 94 supercab, i wish i had the newerish dash, i dont have room to mount my lcd. any ideas on mounting? your guys installs look sick. a local stereo shop owner showed me his. he moved his hu behind his center vents, and cut a slit in the vents to insert cds, then moved his faceplate to his rearveiw mirror. very clean install.
the coolest thing is he managed to use his cig lighter for the volume knob.
lcds just look perfect in the newer dash.

Wow. That is...amazing. That console fits perfectly in there. My only complaint is the screen...I'd be worried about break-ins. Then again, that's the main reason I don't have anything in my car yet...there is absolutely no good place to put a screen in a Plymouth Voyager. Other than that, those are some mad mods. I just got in my overhead console I ordered a while ago and I need to figure out how to do the temperature thing. Great install.

A couple changes... I had a Lilli that went bad after 2 months so I ended up getting a Xenarc. Here is a pic of the Xenarc installed. I have a radio bezel and soon a Xenarc casing coming so I can mold them together..

I also got a 120* POV Rear view cam. I installed it in the hitch of my truck. I bought a silver hitch cover from autozone and drilled out a hole and mounted it in. Then I ran conduit under my truck to get the wire in the cab. Here are a couple pics of the install and some shots of the cam in action.

what did you used to keep the mobo steady on the botton plexi ? any pics??
-
The same things that are used in a real case. Metal stand offs. I screwed them into the plexi and then screws get screwed into them.. Sorry no pics... Just look at any pc and you'll see what they are.

I'm sorry for reviving this old thread but i had a question
is that overhead console mod and the auto dimming stuff just ford specific or can they be put into any other kind of car?
-
Not sure. I got it out of a Ford Explorer and put it in a Ford Ranger. Not sure if it would work in other non Ford vehicles.

what wiring was involved?
