nice to see another mustang install, get some daytime pics though of the interior.. would love to see more. i'm currently in the process of doing an install in my '04 mach 1. building the case right now which is going in-dash and moulding the lilliput display into the radio bezel.

as far as the shaving of the licence plate, i really dont like it but that's just my opinion. looks like something a civic would do

Agree, I don't think that will look too good. But to each their own.

I have a 2001 convertible that i'm trying to fit with a 10.4" allbrite, i kinda forgot about my project when i left for greece in late may.... but i want to get back into it, but i'm not sure how to fit the screen, I had the idea of doing the same thing you did, but am not really sure how as the screen is such a tight fit.

Got a writeup of how you made the bezel for it? and how you mounted the screen?

it looks pretty good, but I agree that I don't know that the shaved liscense plate would look very good. Also, if you shave the area, are you just going to mount the plate on top of the area, or would you find a new place for the plate? It would definately be different, but I think that is an important part of the overall rear design of the car. If you have too flat and long of a rear end, it will look like the eclipse rear...it's just wayyyy too lonnnnngggg and flat - they look like they go on forever

Dude, shave the license plate holder, and put an LCD in its place (linked to carputer). Then you can give messages to tailgaters

(Or force them to watch gay porn or something )

This is the best idea yet. I would love to be able to send messages to the people that ride my butt. However, usually I send them the message by slamming on my brakes and causing them to freak out - well, usually meaning whenever my family is not in the car with me. My wife really gets angry when I do that...don't have any idea why.

One time I kinda actually felt bad for a person that was riding my tail (do I even need to say it was a woman?). I slammed on the brakes and she totally flipped and overreacted. She was in a Jeep Cherokee and her tires squealed from her pressing the brake so hard, her car shuddered back and forth, and she almost went off the road. I just calmly looked over to my wife and said, "That's what she gets for riding my tail"...well of course, until my wife reamed me a new one for "risking her life or something along those lines." You know how the women like to nag.

About the gay porn idea - don't know if that would be considered indecent exposure or something Also, lord knows what that would say about you for haivng it in the first place.

can you try and throw up some more pictures of the interior of your setup? Something that shows more of the dash as a whole, and with better lighting :-p

EDIT: Sorry, didn't read that you said you only have a camera phone, my mistake. How do you plan on interfacing the carputer with your mach 460 (or have you already?) assuming you haven't ripped it out already?
