Nice mounting job in the CD changer case. How has the heat buildup been?
Also, with the OnStar GPS, I'm sure you'll get good performance...I believe they use Motorola OnCore GPS receivers.
The heat buildup surprisingly hasn't been bad. I bought an extra fan that I was planning on using to suck the hot air out of the console but I don't think I'll need it. I've already had it running for 4 hours straight with no issues.
The only problem I had with the Onstar GPS is that Windows kept trying to recognize it as a serial mouse. So... in case someone else has this problem in the future, I was able to get it to work by making this change to the registry:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servic es\sermouse]
"Start"=dword:00000004
The NoSerialMouse or NoSerialMice or FastDetect:COM1 all did not resolve the issue.
