damn i like those trucks
too bad they're gonna butcher them soon, moving to midsize
I originally wanted GPS only to guide me to new hidden fishing spots but I could not deny the MP3 factor, downright sweet so I'll be upgrading the small HD that is in there now to an 80 Gig. I have laying around when I get some time. Anyway, here are the specs;
Shuttle SB51G Disected (used the FB51 Mainboard & Power supply)
Vector 350W Inverter
MP3Car ITPS
Intel P4 1.8
512 MB PC2700 OCZ Ram
Seagate 10 GB 3.5" HD
Rikaline 6010 GPS Receiver
Lilliput 7" Touchscreen in Digitalww In Dash Housing
Sandisk Cruzer 512 MB USB Flash Drive to transfer files when needed
Here are some pics............................
The area where the CPU went, open and closed. This was originally the area used to store the jack on the vehicle. Jack is now mounted in the bed.
This is a shot of the radio and screen closed...sorry for the fingerprints.

This is a shot of the screen open (fingerprints again!)
The obligatory night screen shot (little blury)

Picture of the Truck to get an idea of the GPS mounting. They are a little hard to see but they are center rear on the roof (other GPS sensor is XM)
And that will do it. Thanks to all on here that have helped and the countless posts that answered MANY questions before I even had to ask.
As most of us, this is a never ending project....we'll just have to see what I get into next

Hey,
What HU is that?
Peace,

Yeah, I love the Frontier, too...I almost got a Xterra, because I am a nissan fanboy, having owned 3 nissan cars in my "short" time driving. They make a killer car, but the Xterra was more expensive than the Rodeo and had more miles and was in much worse shape, so I had to choose the Rodeo, because the wife liked it better. I wish I could have gotten a Titan, though - those are some sweet trucks! Even the new Pathfinder is so beautiful! Good job on your installation...can't even tell a computer is in there.

Yeah, I really like the truck. I've owned some Toyota's in the past and had my reservations but not anymore. Price vs. quality and performance, Nissans rock.
For the record, do note the red little lettering on the fender....supercharged!

Were did you find the receiver addapter that would could fit both the monitor and the receiver. I only ask because I have the same truck and I am looking to do the same setup for the monitor. The only addapters I have come across have a built in small pocket.
Hey,
Where'd the pics go?
Peace,

Yeah, I'm interested too. My friend just got a 2004 frontier.Originally Posted by Rafster
