Cool. I got the fold in fold out screen.
yea, i'd love to get my hands on one of those new boards for all sorts of differnet projects. I think they may have triet to push the envelope a little too far and are paying for it with time...
As far as location is concerned i have to agree that under the seat is working out for me. Another thing you could do if you were worried about water would be to put it a little tray like the kind that a washing machine sits in to catch spill overs. Only it would keep water out not in. You could make the rear wall tall so it would be impossible to kick the pc.
As far as other location optins go. I think getting an itx behind the lcd would be a major pain. The dashtop pod may work if it can be kept cool but then you lose the perfect place for a headunit. You could romote it into the trunk area. There is pleanty of room back there, especially if you are going to skip the sub thing i did. The only disadvantage here is using (buying) long cabling and a usb/ide bridge for the dvd. I was looking at cutting up the glove box to fit it all in there but it was going to be tight as well. Not as tight as behind the dash but still a pain. And then you impact the usefulness of the glovebox...
Cool. I got the fold in fold out screen.

Hey,
Congrats on the baby, any pictures? BTW, beautifull job on the install. I love WRXs.
Peace,
Rafster
Thanks
Here's a pic, you don't have to ask twice to get this proud father to show off.
I'd like to point out for the record that I was asked for the baby pic![]()
He's really cute!
Cute baby!!
Also, can you point me to where I could get that Panasonic Slim Slot DVD/CDRW. I've searched all over and can't come up with anything.
It's a she. Her name's Addilae.
I'm not sure where the best place to get the drive is right now. I got mine a long time ago (for way too much money) I think the company may have been called Axion or something like that. I know NewEgg had them for a while as well.
I recall reading somewhere that they had slightly updated the drive and it now had a new model number. Try searching on "Panasonic slim slot" instead of the specific model number.
Good luck
I got mine at Newegg also for 70 buks I think. Slim DVD-CDRW Slot Load and the IDE adapter fits perfect, unlike the apple/mac slot version.
I got mine about 1/2 year ago when my Slim laptop DVD-ROM broke. So I just swapped it out for this one.
And how did he get He out of the baby picture? I mean she is wearing pink and stuff. hahaha Cute girl....
O yea, my badges are pink, oops I'm a guy.![]()
