That's really funny. I was just playing Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, and guess which car is one of the ones you can use, the Ford XR6. And in the game, the steering wheel is still on the right hand side. Nice car, and great install.
Peace,

bah - the car was not invented in America. damn, man - do some research.Originally Posted by pplante

...BAH...had to break out convert, 240kw = 321.8453hp. Very impressive setup there. And a nice ford, I always knew the good ford's were elsewhere. Its funny, I've got to change my notions on ford, its an import for you and the quality seems to reflect that.
haha, bout time someone showed these yanks and brits what a real car looks like. gw on the install mate![]()

the car is designed and engineered and biult in australia, on technology borrowed from elsewhere. Im sure many of the parts are biult elsewhere too, but essentially, the car is australian.

I mean its an import just as Nissan and Toyota and BMW are imports to the US. Nissans and Toyota's are built in michigan I believe, and designed there as well. BMW's are built in conneticut. It just just my experience, in the case of cars not trucks, the domestic vehicle quality is lower to that of imports. In my mentioning your car is an import, I mean its appearance and specs seem to impart an aire of quality. One that is not emmitted from the fords in the US.
Its a verbose way of saying 'Nice Car.'
hehe, understood. Well to be quite honest, FORD cars here do NOT have an history of being very high quality cars, quite the oppisite actually. Here, holden and ford are race track rivals, but are low quality, locally made. They are low quality, because australia has only 20 million people, not enough to support a big car industry, and so the car makers cant justify the money needed to create a low number, high quality run of cars, without breaking the common man's budget.
Imports here are, on average, higher quality. Nissans and Mitsubishi are biult better, but not designed well for our needs. Aussie cars are bigger, nicer looking, more powerfull, but not well biult
Import cars are well biult, reliable, but smaller, and dont look as appealing to us. Its just what you like I guess.
Honda cars here are regarded as expensive imports, and regarded as very high quality.
And any else is regarded as either semi exotic, or just **** :P
Fords and Holdens have picked up their game of lately tho, making better cars with thier own home designed, GOOD engines. In the last few years these two have started making world class engines finally. In the past they have used american variants, such as the buick V6, or borrowed the Nissan straight six, or just made do with what they could make here, (such as the holden cast iron head, push rod, 186, 202, or old holden v8, such as the 253 and 308. Ford always used engines biult in the US, 302 windsor or the crossflow 250 etc)

In my opinion commies start getting good at VT... If i bought a car now it would be a VT S pack manual. There fe2 suspension really makes a difference, took one for a test drive the other day, loved it!

the crossflow was only used in oz I think, definately designed by us. I have heard of americans importing 250 crossflows to put in 6 cylinder mustangs. Nuts hey, over here you can't give one away lol.
very nice car. i love my toyota tundra that was built in San Antonio Texas, but i realize that its basically a japanese import, and i give props to the japanese engineers that created it. So you will give us "Yanks" props immediately. I DEMAND THEM!
