    magnets near hard drives.

It's funny you'd mention that cause I just read something about that last week. I'll see if I can dig up the article, but it basically said no worries about magnets near hard drives. That apparently it takes quite a bit of magnetic force to affect the platters and that hard drive only work because the heads are a few microns from the platters. And that in order to affect a hard drive from a few inches away it would have to be a field strong enough to physically attract all metal objects within a five foot radius....or something like that. Anyway, I don't know if it's all true, but it does seem to make sense.

jschloer there was an article in MaximumPC a few months ago. It was part of a 'PC Myths' article and yes they said your average magnet will do no harm. Even the magnets from the subs wouldn't affect it at all.

If you take your hard drive apart, you will find two very, very strong magnets inside, above and below the head arm pivot. They are used to control the movement of the arm. And they are really strong, neodymium iron boron (NIB) magnets or "rare earth magnets". So sub magnet will not do any damage.

I was approved twice for a fully built TRD Scion tC...but never got it, wanted to wait a little longer for them to go down in price and more aftermarket support.

Well, I got the scion a few weeks ago and I love it. I'm getting ready to start on the project. First thing is that i have to get an amp for this install and I wanted to know (skeeter) if you installed the amp yourself or did you get it done somewhere? Where did you locate the amp? The pics don't work so I can't tell.
