2005 Scion tC Media System

I'm finished with the basic setup of my CarPC, and thought I would post the pics. I just got the car a couple of months ago and was planning this since before I got it.

-Lilliput 7" touchscreen
-Griffin Powermate USB
-Delorme USB GPS

-MTX Thunder 895 5-channel amplifier
-MTX Thunder 8000 12" subwoofer

Wow, nice clean install. It almost seems a shame to toss that factory HU. It looks kinda cool.

What are you going to cover the amp with?

I gotta say... that looks so freaking factory! The Mediacar skin looks awesome there! And the cover provides some peace of mind! Nice job!

Only one thing i think is bad, computer ans harddisk in the same box as the sub

Gonna put a hinged cover over the amp with a plexiglass window. Just trying to find a way to cut the plexiglass and make it look good.

BTW - I've been running with the carputer in the sub box for a few weeks now and no problems so far.

I was thinking of doing the same thing with my sub box and the computer when I stared the project. I was afraid of the whole magnet-hard drive interaction. Love the dash install though. Very nice.

I'm also an owner of a Scion tC and am in the process of putting together my carputer.

Did you have to take the lilliput out of its casing to fit it in the double din slot? I just ordered my screen and hope I don't have to take apart the monitor to make it fit.
