Hey, I just finished my 2005 Mazda3 GT Install. I thought i would post a message here because NappyJim helped me out. Thanks Again Jim!
My screen install is not as cool as his, but it will do for now.
Also, I was able to use the Stock Orange Stereo Display from the Stock Deck in the glove box. Nice feature when you are using the steering wheel controls and the stock radio.

hey nappy, what skin did you use for the FrodoPlayer? It matches the Mazda dash really well.
Its a skin i modofied. Its the brushed metal skin, just modified to a black/red theme. I only have the most used screens done. The other ones are still the silver color. If you want it, drop me a PM and ill send it to you.
What do you do for a clock now that you took out that display? Did you mount a new one somewhere or do you just use one on your carputer?
I would like to take issue with that editors comment at the end.
Where the heck did he get the idea that cars are almost unmodible these days?
Hiboost.com makes a kit that takes the mazda 3s well over 300hp on stock internals.
Pretty much the only parts of a car that have become significantly more difficult to work on are the emmisions equipment. And the only modding people do of that is to remove parts. There are tons of solutions for the engine control electronics.
