    Smile MCC Smart gets Digital

Car is a 1999 MCC Smart Coupé:

    CarPC Specs:
    Compaq Armada E500 (Laptop)
    650 MHz Pentium III
    128MB RAM
    40GB HDD
    11Mbit-WLAN
    7" Touchscreen-TFT
    WindowsXP Professional running Media-Engine
Right Now I'm Using a Garmin eTrex for Navigation but I'm going to replace it with an USB-GPS-Mouse because the GPS-Mouse doesn't need Batteries to run

    Media-Engine Main Menu

    Playing a Music-Video

That's the Notebook (of course without LCD) under the Passenger-Seat

Nice and simple install. Are you happy with it? And I've got to ask, what makes the car smart? :-)

Yes, I'm very happy with the Carputer

The name of the car is "Smart" and since a couple years ago the manufacturer (MCC/Multi Compact Car) calls himself just "Smart GmbH" -> http://www.smart.com

What makes the car "smart" is, that it is very small and you can park virtually everywhere

So now the car is smarter. Could you change the name to "Smartest"?

    Great install.

The car's designed for the sole purpose of crowded inner-city travel. If you've been to London for example, you'll know what I mean...
The plastic body panels are changeable and don't dent on everyday parking knocks. Also, you can drive it straight on into parking bay and park it sideways - very useful in London.
Nice looking car, but I'd rather have something a bit bigger with a bit more grunt...

Thank you all for you feedback

@Spaghetti: Yepp. It's just perfect for big and crowded cities. And I myself would love to have a Hummer (H1). But i can't afford it and wouldn't be able to drive through most of the streets around here anymore
