This may come off as a bit naive, but Class A amps, although inefficient, draw a LOT of power. I am currently looking at a nice Class A amp, but worry that my 105A alternator won't manage the draw. I noticed that you put the Optima yellow top, but did you add a beefier alternator, as well as, an isolator? You've got what I want in your setup (for the most part), but I don't want to invest on an electrical system upgrade to feed my daily driver hobby.

What year is this van, and what other mini are you working on?

I have a 1989 Caravan I've been working on for awhile. It's all custom suede/vinyl upholstery and has a 10.4" touchscreen. I havn't finish my front seats yet, but I'm adding a 7" lcd in the headrest for my unborn child

I'm also going to have a Dreamcast and Xbox under the passenger seat. Nowhere near as crazy as your setup though. You have given me a few ideas

But my van will run 14 second 1/4 miles
    (turbo Dodge power)

You really have to be comfortable with the size of your penis, and your sexuality to drive a minivan. And even more so when you start modding it

The upper screen isn't moulded in yet...I've got a few different ones & am not sure which will remain there....either an alpine 5.8" w/ mirror mode, alpine 7" w/o mirror image flip or lilliput 7" touch.....I'm still playing with that screen & it's just roughed in for now.

all 4 screens are not controlled by the pc, the alpine actually does more screen control than the pc

this van is an 02.....give me a year or so & when I get around to the engine swap I'll run your caravan e fractal...I run at englishtown...but were talking at least a year from now I think I'll be right there in the 14's.....going to go with a supercharged 3800 drivetrain....already done all of the measuring & planning.....physical fit only requires modifying the upper cowl/windshield wiper stuff...but the BIG hurdle there is going to be ecm/bcm communications. The other mini I'm working on is an astrovan...now THAT one is pretty radical & makes this one seem mild in comparison..that one is totally custom top to bottom with major body mods..totally custom & radical....everything has been touched & modded in that one

I am ripping out the 8" lilli & installing a 12.1" widescreen sideways right now....should be able to add pics soon...should be up & running in the next few weeks...also planning on finishing the mc4000 install & the sub....I can't wait for the sub......I've driven over 14K miles so far WITHOUT A SUB!!!!! now the 10's in the door do provide decent bass...but decent isn't what I'm after.....I want HEAVY BASS...........I NEED HEAVY BASS!!!!!! not looking foward to the fiberglass work though......

I have a few alternators that I can install....just have to see what I can get to fit....the original altenator is small & real close to the firewall.....I don't think I can fit my biggest one.....haven't gotten to that yet....but will have to when I add the sub.

class a amps are not very efficient, but are still the best choice where sound quality is concerned.....minimize power elseware or design lower wattage system.....you don't need 1,200 watts to have an awsome system....although it helps......

my truck right now is running at a true rms power rating of 150 watts on just the front stage.....the big amp isn't even in yet....I have to admit it sounds pretty awsome as-is....if I added just another 200 watts to a sub it would sound absolutley increadable.....& that would be with a total of only 350watts rms......do the math & see what your stock configuration can hold.....I garrentee you could build a system that is pretty awsome without going huge power.....300 watts of pure quality amplification paired with a properly installed high end front stage & a sub....power isnt everything...sit in a sq class winning 100 watt car & you'd see what I mean.....go for quality over quantity........what kind of car do you have? what's your budget & what do you already have? If you want my advice let me know more details...
