With friends like that, who needs enemies?
Did they drop something on the centermounted screen?
You put a ton of your time into that piece. That sucks.

For the most part I haven't driven my black Trans Am in like 5 months due to engine related crap. Just yesterday I decided to pull it out, wash it off and get it back on the road. We both decide we've had enough, it's time to get working on them!

****in' guy is an *******, trying to source another hydis lcd is tough.. I got a motion tablet that I can steal it from, but that's kind of a waste... the way my console & backlight is built I really can only use this specific screen... I haven't checked my old stock yet but I think I might have one or 2 spares if I didn't use them all up back then...

i just read 38 pages of this thread, straight... took HOURS
that was definitely not the way i expected it to end!!! Borrowed by a 'friend' crashed and bashed! So sad! I was emotionally invested in this van it was like watching a movie with a sad ending...

wow man, over 560 posts, almost 300k views... this thread is a monster

don't count this one out just yet though... this isn't the end of this thread, I'm rebuilding her to be better than ever... so far everything in this thread can be considered part 1...

stay tuned for part 2, the resurection

if you read the whole thread you've probably seen somewhere that I mentioned that someday I'd like to take her all apart & repaint her... that's one thing I was never too thrilled about was the color of this truck... I guess she was kind of pretty when she was all new & shiny with the 17" chrome wheels, but I've never been much of a red person really...

the whole thing is in pieces right now, all doors off, all windows out... the new color is a really nice pearl grey, almost looks black at night but really lights up in the sun, especially on the highlights, a great match for the 2 tone grey interior... I never put any full exterior shots in this thread for security reasons but now I can, so I'l put some up later of what she looked like, then and now... don't worry, part 2 will be even better than part 1

Sweet a part two. This was one of the first threads I read when I came here. I've learned a lot reading through your install treads.

hey man, this thing is still just laying around, haven't done anything with it lately, I did repaint it & she looks pretty just sitting on the side of my building with a flat tire

my inspections been expired for almost a year & now the registration has expired too. I just love driving my new ride so much that I guess I don't even care or miss this Montana all that much. actually the only thing I DO miss is the stereo in here, almost forgot how awesome it sounded with the 10" carbon fiber woofers in the doors... at least one good thing is she's not accumulating any mileage the past few years

I'll get here back together some day, too much work into this thing to just abandon it completely

Well then, it looks like its time to upgrade the stereo in the FX to match the Montana!
