Here's what I have so far (third one down), but the amp I'm looking at is the Soundstream Davinci.

i wanna see the steering wheel/keyboard when its done. Ive thought about a matrix orbital character LCD with volume controls. Or getting a cell phone screen and its menu buttons in there and controling the numeric pad off the touch screen. But a keyboard in the wheel is just freaking awsome. I would have never thought of that

I've been avoiding outside pictures because I am in NY & I'd rather not have this truck be easily identifiable...............

sinnerG you've got all great stuff...it looks like you're a little deeper than just a daily driver hobby.....If you must have big power then go for the alt upgrade & power wiring it will take to deliver it...only you can know if you want the big power bad enough.....

The steering wheel is on hold right now because I'm working on replacing the whole computer setup...I dissasembled a dell 700m centrino laptop & it's going to be the new carputer.....it uses much less power than the p4..while actually having around the same performance......I am using the original laptops 12.1" widescreen lcd......only I'm turning it sideways.......it kinda fits like two 8" screens over & under without the seam.

One problem with a laptop screen is brightness....laptop screens arn't generally that bright, so I am going to modify this screen to be daylight viewable....approx. 1,000-1,200nits I gutted the rear of the screen...there's a board that I have to fold up so I built a box out of stainless steel deep enough to have the board sideways to not block light. I took the back of the screen apart & cut out some bracing for the rear opaque reflector sheet, which I also removed with the thought of allowing more light to enter from the rear. at this point there is a lot of light projecting out of the rear....which should be a good thing I guess for when I have the rear mounted bulbs......the overall depth is 2 1/2"...I should be able to get a lot of bulbs in there.

rear of screen fully exposed....I had to take it apart & remove some bracing & the rear opaque reflector layer....I had to fold back the main board....
