Cris. after you mentioned about the winamp eq. i went and started playing with it and i can only say "you were right" i eq as on all flat... i raised the highs a little of lows..and not is sounds way better... but i still have some problems with the rca cables (engine wine/ground loop) i will work on it...later tonighs

I have a 96 blazer and i've hesitated to put the screen where you did. Doesn't the gear shift sit about mid screen while the car is in drive?

well the shift help me to click any bottons on the screan ... i rest my hand on the shift and "click it" while i'm driving... i have 20"s on my s-10 and the suspension is stiff..... so it helps to have a place to rest your hand to aim those litle bottons...

I have a 97 with an automatic but it is a floor shift! I've been eyeing that location but considered motiving the AC controls toward the steering wheel and putting the screen opposite. I also wondered, just an open question, how much space there is behind your screen? Did you have to cut any of the mounting brackets for the stock head unit. I am really interested in being able to go back to stock if needed. Also, is there enough room in the the speaker grill in this picture http://www.mp3car.com/vbulletin/atta...achmentid=7177 (DSC00339.jpg) to put the gps unit inside? I've never open one of mine up to even see.

sorry i took a little long to answer but some blazers' don't come with speaker up there, like my brother's 96... so look in there maybe you don't have them , if you don't have any, there is plenty space for the gps but you won't get a good reception....
