I have continued building the past week, but not with great success.
Creating a shock-free mount for the harddisk proved to be more difficult then expected at first

Do not worry about anti-shock mounting for the hard drive. It will more than likely introduce more movement into the hard drive. I have been running mine for well over a year without any shock protection (my hard drive is screwed solidly to my case which screwed solidly to the floor of my car almost directly over the rear wheel!

It's looking good so far, look forward to seeing more

Well, after trying 2 different ways of mounting the 2,5" laptop disk with shock absorbtion, I mounted it rigid. Confused, you confinced me!

Next thing is trying to get the lilliput screen to work @ 848x 480 or 840x480 with the EPIA M10000. Not an easy taks I believe, nobody has succeeded so far (at least nobody I know of )

You can get 848x480 using current EpiaM BIOS and Unichrome drivers without any tweaking. But it does not look pretty on Lilliput, believe me.

Very nice. Post here some pics, of how the actuall computer looks in the car...

848x480 from a M10000 is easy.


However, it looks TERRIBLE, because the native resolution of the screens is 800x480.

The best thing is to run it @ 800x600, because you do not notice the "squashing" in the vertical plane as much as you would do in the horizontal plane

Hmm you are right, looks really bad. I guess I mean 800x480 (native Lilliput screen resolution?).
