    Opel/Vauxhall Corsa '00 Install

    Hi

    i got started into carputing a few months ago liked it so bought some stuff to start it this is my setup

    M10000 epia 1ghz
    512 ddr ram
    40gig 2.5"notebookhdd
    5.25" dvdrom drive
    lilliput touchscreen
    pw70a clickon psu
    itps to regulate 12v
    sla batt to survive engine cranking
    windows xp pro running media engine with phonecontrol.net, NM destinator3 frontend,
    ati remote wonder (remote control)
    bu-303 usb gps
    usb data cable for phone
    firewire cable for ipod

    i coudn't mount any thing indash because i'm 'borrowing' this car for a year or to because the owner is out of the country and he did not like the idea of me drilling holes into the dash etc

    My custom build case, is about the size of a travla c134, doesn't look very nice but will do till i get some more cash






    Front usb and firewire



    Case and DVD player

    ITPS and a fuse on the white 'spot' my lilliput adapter will be stuck

    Wire to the the battery's

    The glovebox compartment one pair of wires to the on of switch of the pc the other on is for my undercar NEON

    More pics

    the screen its a lilliput with touchscreen works perfect no problems at all. pics looks strange because of the flash

    Fits neatly under the glove compartment

    On the right my car battery on the left my backup for the carputer so it wont die when i start my engine etc its a 12V 7A lead acid

    Wires to the pc

    the little 1.2L engine

    installing .NET framework :P is blurry coz i held the cam to close

    My pioneer headunit got it for free so =] does everything i need.

    Ipod 40gb and sony ericsson t610 both connected to the carputer

    on/off switch for pc

    on of switch for neon, also has a remote control but this is master power.


    i dont have any pics of it but my gps is mounted inside my rear spoiler (its from plastic or something so signal goes thru it, i had to mount it out of sight of my lilli otherways it would not pick up any sats. will make some pics of this tomorrow and see if i can make some more pics of the rest .

    Yeah nice install in suc a small car - especially the little tank battery.

    How is the screen for glare and blocking your view up their?

    Have you thought about making a nice facia to cover the PC and DVD drive?

    nice

    nice install i really like it when alot of pictures are used so we can really get a good look at everything.not jus the end result but the guts and all u wont c.
    ..and dont back out just because u think its too crazi , i hate pussies

    No i was supprised to that i hardly get any glare it seems to be just in the right spot, and if i turn it so it faces me (the lcd stand kan twist etc) i have even less glare probs

    i did not thought of making a nice facia may do that though when i have some time for it

    The car

    the gps wire goes between the roof and the headliner and than the wire goes al the way to the front

    the gps is in the left hand side of the 'wing'


    i had some more but my camera thought it would be nice to corrupt some pics

    With that SE t610, you should have instead invested in a cheap Bluetooth adapter instead of fooling with messy wires

    o Crappy Sony head unit that needs replacing (but it has 3 sets of pre-outs and aux in)
    o Progress to come after I fix some of my car's mechanical issues.
