Redoing the entire install, PC and system!

I will try and get more pics of the dash up close as I know a few people are wanting to see it. I'll have to fiddle with the settings on my camera to see how much better I can do....

sorry for the large images, I know some people (like me) like to be able to see the detail in the shots.

We are going out of town for the night but will be back tomorrow evening and will be working to put the front part of the car back together!

did you relocate the head unit and just have the face plate molded in? cause i know there isnt enough room for the whole deck to fit in that area..... looks amazing!

it's not a head unit - it's the Alpine PXA-H700 face plate. It's a processor. All that face plate is for is to control volume and the processor, the brain is mounted back with the computer

sitting down to hand buff it all right now, so that it should look even better!

lol - I don't know if I would go that far with it...there are a few things that didn't quite turn out the way we wanted...for instance the DVD player was a PITA to get it to look right - it's definately not perfect, but the lip is extremely thin and it made it impossible to bondo in without some cracking and lifting, but it's in a location where you (hopefully) won't see it

we'll see....

being that the entire interior of my car is black: carpet, dash, leather seats, etc...I decided to go with the gloss black. The previous install was just spray painted with black to give it a flat black finish. It looked ok, but it scratched very easily. This time being that the car will be shown more regularly, I decided to take it to a local body shop and have it painted so that it would accent it a little more, but not too much, and still withstand scratching more so since it's got a layer of clear on it...

I can't say for sure how it's going to look once it's in the car, but I will post pics!
