    beautiful! absolutely beautiful!

I just love the new stangs.....every time I see one on the road I'm reminded of how much I like them!

I'm NOT a ford person, especially not after my last ford......but damn....I could own this thing!

only thing is that I've heard that the motors just can't handle much boost if they can handle it at all?! apparently they aren't built very stout??

You must be one skilled dude when it comes to taking that GTI apart. Have you visibly scratched or broken any of the plastic parts in the dash ? (ie. broken clips etc) What did you use to remove all the knee panels, door sills etc ?
Besides the BMW that had the custom screen molding which fitted right in with the rest of the dash I think you have one of the cleanest installs I've seen.
A job well done sir !

    ma'am.....

    =]

nope - no problems taking it all apart...most of it is a t-20 torx if I remember right. As for the doors...a pannel popper or a light touch in the right places works best. It's really no different than any other car out there as far as taking it apart.....if it doesn't want to come out the way you are doing it don't force it...go about it another way till it comes out easily....

the pics really make the center console and screen piece stand out a lot. once the install is all finished we are going to try and set-up some lighting to try and make it so the pics are better. in person, it honnestly doesn't stand out that much.....oh well.....maybe I'll have to get a professional photographer take pics.....lol

Very nice install! Do you have sponsors?

I'm wondering about the spare tire well. My '04 R32 was going to get the carputer installed below the "floor" in the spare tire well, but I have a HUGE hump in there that's about the same size is the inner diameter of a spare - plus, I don't have a spare! Did you cut that hump out or did your car never have it? I've got 4motion and can see how that hump adds a good bit of strength which is why I didn't take our plasma cutter to it. :P Just curious. Great work! Post some pics of the crew you got workin' on this project!
My first attempt at a carputer.

PM me if you're interested in a monitor faceplate for your '99-'04 Golf or Jetta. My Vortex ID is NorthAtlR32 - you can IM me there, too. Go here for more information.

Arc Audio sponsors me via the amps at below dealer cost. The other stuff I get at dealer cost being that I have close ties to a local high end audio shop here in town.

No huge hump for me...just a....nipple....if you will...lol

I haven't had a spare tire for about 3 years and have yet to have a flat....lol

As for the crew....it's just me and my boyfriend...we work on it after work and classes and on the weekend when we get a chance.....=]

Hmmm... you have to know it's unique for a gal to show interest in this type of stuff. I gotta believe if you sold the fact that you show your car and put it in competitions that SOMEONE would want to sponsor you...

Damn your luck! I'm guessing it's extra reinforcement for the 4Motion system... Thanks for getting back to me.

Cool! The R32 comes with a flat-repair kit. Kinda hokey if you ask me - thank goodness for roadside service. I'm asking thinking about installing Run-flat tires. That would also help save those 18" wheels.
