i've thought that as well...during parts of the building/designing/financing process i kept thinking to myself why i didnt just stick with my kenwood mp3 player. however, the end justifies the means.

im in process of installing mk4 dash myself and i might take the idea or relocating the radio to where the ashtray was...

cool - I'd like to see the process of replacing the entire dash in a MKIII....I didn't make it to the body shop today for my dash and center console.....hopefully tomorrow though....

aighty - well here's some update pics:

I will be updating the web site either tonight or tomorrow as well....

These are the holes that we drilled for the 1/0 to go through, both power and ground. There are also pics of the wire loomed. I went with fire retardant loom from TechFlex (thus the white tracers in the loom)

Ok this is the cardboard template for the end plates for the amp rack:

These are holes that I originally had drilled when we installed the rear stress bar for the car. We decided to reuse them for the amp rack. Originally we were thinking about using 3 or 4 bolts to secure the rack, but once we bolted these two in we found that it would have been WAY overkill....
