Mustang 1-DIN Indash Install

Hi all, I finally got the stang out of the body shop and finished off my install. And for those of you who are thinking about it, a Casetronic C134 will fit in a 1-DIN slot, at least in a late model Mustang. Total depth with standard cables requires 12 inches, so size does matter...

Looks really good, nice location for the screen. Not a place where I would put it though.
Have you had any problems with law enforcement yet?

I like to be a trendsetter

Nothing so far, I figure the fact there is a backup cam attached to it should confuse them for a while. If I catch too much heat over it, I was thinking of mounting the factory mirror on the dash like OLD style. The other option is a vanity mirror to cover the screen. After trying several spots to mount it, that is the best spot when the top is down, everywhere else was a total loss to glare.

Yea it is 10" exactly, with that motherboard and case height combination there was no way to make it shorter. If you don't need that card bus board you can cut 3" off the case fairly easy like the autocan unit does.

Being a convertible, don't have problems with the glare?

Yea that was one of the main reasons for the creative mounting location, the adjustable down tilt angle helps a bunch. It also makes it easy reach while driving.
