Went off to homebase today, board cutter was closed.
Went to second homebase, board cutter was open, however it was going to cost £20 for 20mm MDF as I had to buy an entire sheet. So I settled for 2 pieces of 15mm thick MDF instead which cost a massive... 50p
Piece one: 8.5 inch x 5.5 inch
Piece two: 11.5 inch x 8.5 inch
Also got some Rapid Setting Araldite £4.99

should be about an hour now until I can start getting down and dirty with the 2 bits together and do some markings ready to machine the holes out.
The fit is perfect as you can see here with the smaller cutting, which should help to keep things secure along with the fixings. I guess the pic also helps give an idea of where this is all going.

You can see a VERY ROUGH diagram of where this is all going
The gallery is updated with the latest, although not very exciting, pictures of the progress today. Should be another update later once the wood is stuck together nicely.
