initially i was really into this idea but i dont think i can compromise an inch of storage space in the back because of what i do... i most likely will do an under the seat install, amps on one side and pc on other with cases....

Damm it! If it wasn't for the spare tyre...really brilliant idea placing your car-Pc under a false ground in the trunk, so clean and nice it looks completely just taken out from your car dealer.

    Congrats!!!

    absolutely brilliant installation.

    Thanks for compliments people,

I was distressed at having to upgrade my old alpine head unit as I really liked it but with no aux input it just had to go. Lovin' the new one though.

Still yet to see anything similar in the way of a trunk install here.

Awesome dude! That install is sick! Definitely a big fan of how you mounted the mouse.

ok well this is my first post. I have a 2001 4runner with a very similiar dash setup as yours. My question is, where did you get that dash piece? Did you make that or can you buy a dash piece like that somewhere?

    thanks,
    Austin

chances are, as with every other dash piece on this forum, that the guy made it....

take a look around and you'll learn how to make your own stuff....

it's something that a lot of people on here take a lot of pride in, making their own stuff for their car....

Indeed! Nearly everything you see here is custom made. Very satisfying!

I like the box in the back looks sweet! I look at the gps antenna. I think you should find a enclosed box for it. I can see the cable. But its no biggy. Its your car.
