hahahahahaha, that switch is awesome, saw it at advance auto parts, but couldnt convince myself to buy it. i mounted my pc under the driver seat too, theres ALOT of room under there.
After a few setbacks with messing up the ribbon cable in my lilliput, and after over comming my lazyness to actually post, my carPC is up and running!
I'm thinking of replacing my switch later on with the OEM heat warmer switch. That way it'll look really stealthly, but the problem is the diagram for the switch looks complicated and I havn't really taken the time to decifer it.![]()
Many thanks goes to zip (2004 Subaru Wrx). I first saw his project and I borrowed alot of ideas from him. Thanks also goto Patrick(http://www.mechatroniks.com/wrx/installs.htm). I got the bezel and chassis for the lilliput from him and it made the installation of LCD much easier.

I thought that switch was awesome when I first saw it. I just had to have it. But I was surprised at how big it was when I got it in the mail. I thought it would be about half the size it is. It's pretty cool to show off in the meantime, but I'd really like to make it more steathly so that it won't attract too much attention.

i have a plan for my carpc. to make a fullscreen flash animation that has one BIG red button on it labeled "NAWZ" and when you push it it either links to a pfft noise, or some sort of sound clip of vin diesel.
Question...
What did you do with the buttons for the Lilliput? Having a tough time figuring out where to put them.
I just put that little control pannel behind the LCD screen. I actually tie-wrapped it to the top of the main control board and I have it hanging behind the LCD.
I used a tie-wrap to keep the button pushed down so that it'll power up automatically. I didn't feel comfortable soldering resistors and capacitors onto my lilliput. I have the LCD powered thru my cigarette lighter.
Sorry I don't have any pics. I was so excited about putting everything in that I forgot to take pics of it. But next time I take it apart I'll be sure to do so.
Hmm, I'll have to try that out. Thanks!
Very cool. I see you're planning on running Delta Dash. That will be a very slick setup. I just picked up a bezel, and the gauge pack to go with a similar setup. It's gonna rock.

Great Job. Install looks fantastic. I'm with you on the switch. I'm still looking for the right one for that spot. I just can't bring myself to spend $40 for the stock seat heater switch that would be perfect...
I love to see more WRX projects comming along too.
Here's mine
The StationRocket WRX is done.
