    1999 Mercury Cougar In Progress...

    Carputer Components:
    HP ZT1135 Laptop
    40gb hd
    512 mb ram
    Lilliput 7" TS

    Stereo: JVC MP3
Front Speakers: Boston Acoustic Pro's 6.5 comps
Rear Speakers: Boston Acoustic Pro's 6.5 comps
Subs: JL Audio 12W6 (only one is in the car)
    Amp: MTX2300,MTX280

    Vitals:
This car has been through at least 6 different systems. THis probably won't be the last. Seeing how I kind of rushed to get this done, I'll probably do it over. I'm not totally satisfied. For any one doing their own fabrication work, sanding is key--and it takes more than 15mins of sanding to look professional. Trust me, I got lazy. Anywho, here's the pics.

    Back in the car

    My screen works!

    Another shot

That's it for now. I will have to redo the screen. It needs more sanding and smoothing. I paid the price for rushing.

Thanks. My radio barely fits. I'm not using any brackets at all. I did have to grind the edge of the sleeve down, but it still works the way it should. I would like to get rid of my radio, but I need my talk radio (AM - the only thing that gets my through San Diego traffic). That's the only thing holding me back.
