Cool stuff
Does the new CoPilot work with all GPS recievers now?
The other one only worked with the CoPilot branded reciever and the Rand McNally reciever
Well, thanks. It is not the best looking or "perfect" case, but it is pretty sweet for a first time job with the tools i had.Originally Posted by carpcnoobie
I have yet to figure out where I am going to "mount" it. Lol... there are not too many places. Maybe I will take some pictures and have you guys suggest some areas.
So, as far as sound goes, I ended up getting an FM Modulator since I could not figure out how to get the panels off to get behind my stereo. I think will be ok for now, will let you know how everything works out. I ran into some delays, so I am going to try to have it installed by this weekend. Keep you posted.

Yea, that dinner was awesome. Although, I did kind of feel sick afterwards, oh well, at least I did not feel hungry anymore.
I have not yet tried the new CoPilot with my Rikaline, so I will let you know. Tonight I was runing all the wires and starting to hook things up. Man what a pain in the A$$. I either need to take all the components out of my vehicle, then install or grow smaller hands/arms/entire body. Would be much easier if I was an ant and routing all the wires.![]()
Anyways, pics will come later tonight.
why did you run your xenarc off of the psu? Isn't that screen designed to be plugged into the cig lighter...i.e. non requlated 12v? wouldn't that relieve some of the stress from the opus?
This is something I'm curious about. I guess I should ask Xenarc. On the sticker on the back it says "12V", but molded into the case it says 11-24V. I've been running mine straight off the battery; have had it run from 10.3V to 14.4V.Originally Posted by scott_fx
Of course, by connecting it to the PSU, you also get it to auto on/off with the computer. It may also reduce some interference.

From what I have gathered, the Xenarc will run off the cig. adapter without issues, but it is better to run off a regulated source. I also wanted to have it turn on/off when my computer did, not manually.
I do not have much running off the Opus, so I should have more than enough power.
Yeah, but that's just one more component, and the power will be a bit smoother of the PSU.Originally Posted by scott_fx
