I have the power button for the laptop relocated to right next to the mirror controls on the driver's side.

I have a t23 port replicator what switch did you use to rewire the power button what kind is it double pole double thow not sure what it is ?Do you have and close up pics of the soldering of that power button thanks

it's a momentary switch. I'll see if i can get pics for you when I get home. Basically you desolder the existing switch and I just soldered 4 wires to where the switch was soldered and connected 2 to one side of the momentary switch and 2 to the other.

Yeah -- i'm a little skeptical, but we'll see. It's really the only place it fits nicely, not enough room under the seat.

im getting a tc as soon as the new 2006 models are avialable (next month or so, they also now come with steering wheel volume controls), and im wanting to keep the door. you removed it, but keep it there obviously would decrease the risk of theft if it was hidden when the car was off. know of any 7" touchscreens that would fit and still allow u to keep the door. i'm also gonna be running an ibm t43p. it won't fit under the seat? weak!
