Any chance of it fitting behind the Dash?? I'm putting my mini-itx board behind the screen in the dash of the Pug, would have thought there is similar space behind yours in the Focus as its similar to the Puma.

I'm actually re-thinking about where to mount the PC as it's still a bit messy having it in the back. New mobo has just arrived so everything is gonna be even more compact!!

Would be nice though!
My serious considerations at the moment are to go beneath the rear side windows behind the panels. Much less finishing to do looks neater... And then I might go back to Chris @ Car-Tech and see if he can make some neat windows though the panels.

Yeah it should fit behind the screen although it certainly is a tight squeeze. I am fitting mine into a deeper version of the stock ford cd radio. There is also quite a lot of room in there to tuck things around the sides as well if needs be.
I bought the amp for £60 although I think they sell for about £120 new.

Great website as well - makes mine look a little poor and simple!

OK, my XP install took 12 seconds to boot to working desktop (minlogon) on the 800 board, on the 1200, 9 seconds (bootvis)Originally Posted by C4M
Centrafuse took about 10 seconds to switch between functions (i.e. between GPS and music library) on the old board, this is now round about 1-2 seconds. It definately feels faster.
I've got a 120GB HDD I was using in one of my home servers... I'm thinking of putting that into the car pc instead as it's a lot faster than the old drive! I think those two combined should make the most difference.
