I thought I might do but no problems!

Last week I even braved it further by putting the top of the morex case on, as a new addition of a Nokia PCMCIA GPRS card caused some buzbuzzbuzz mobile problems until the MB was sheilded and expected to have a problem or two, but a 6 hour drive didn't cause a single problem.

There is a little secret however, there is ventilation either side of the boot in the focus, which was hidden away by the carpet but now right by the Car PC itself, which is why I didn't need to cut the vents I had thought I'd need!

    Stevie,

Does the Opus PSU have a pulse start feature (I'm using a Carnetix P1280) and are you using it?
If so, where have you taken the pulse from on the focus to activate this function? Do you know whether the ford alarm could supply a pulse?

I have found an earlier reference you made to http://www.digital-car.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=674.

Sorry, I will research more thoroughly next time.

i'd be interested in knowing this too. I'm assuming you're interested in starting the computer remotely?

Nice install. Seems most put the computer in the trunck. What do you do about access during a ride?

    Quarryman,
Decided against remote pulse start as the CarNetix P1280 provides adequate ignition control, resulting in a simplier system for me.

I use an LCD monitor with touchscreen plus steering wheel stalks. I've never had to access the physical hardware on a journey.

just thought I'd chime in.. awsome looking install.... that dash really looks pro! a square into a rounded panel isn't so easy to pull off, but yours looks perfect with the rounded recesses on the sides.....keep up the good work.....
