Dude - I really love the bondo-d rear-view cam cover - how could I make something like that?
great work. that is a tight install.
Very Very nice install. I really like how you did the screen. I gotta couple Quick
questions for you.
1. Did u use a relay to switch the camera on and how?
kinda like a relay that you hook up to the reverse light and constant
power?
2. That MOB nvidia graphics gives You 800x840 right?
Again great job wery impressive

Yah, on board chip on MB supports 800X480 as a custom resolution. I use power strip to set it using the settings on xenarc's faq on their site.
mpfjr, Nice install. One question, is there any specific reason you couldn't mount the screen under the standard door on that compartment? Lack of room maybe, too far back to use it? I have been thinking of getting an 05 Altima and would have like to be able to install behind that door, ideally the open door would also act as a sun shade to some degree too.
Just wondered if you'd considered this or if you have any comments why you would or would not take that approach.
Not to take anything away from your installation, it looks awesome!
Chris.
UKChris: If you were to install it in that spot the screen would have to angle back too far to be able to see it properly. At one point I thought about trying to make it so when you opened the door the screen would stand up, but changed my mind and decided to replace the head unit instead.
Spent so far: $1,755

It's not nice to pick on retards!
Thanks. How about the alternate fascia that is designed for the sat/nav? Can you easily replace the stock (non-Nav) one with that or are the holes for the head unit different?
Chris.
bump...
Same question for me. Is it possible to get the stock Nissan navi bezel instead of rolling your own?
Yo nice install on the LCD... i was wondering is 7" the largest possible size to throw into that spot or can i get away with an 8".....
Also how did u get the specific dimensions for the LCD screen and stuff.. as in the angle of view and the angle of the enclosure.... its a real sweet enclosure man wish u could make me a copy lol...
Nomad.
