    Toyota MR2 Install

This project has taken a while mainly because of the case, everything else has been ready for some time, i started out wanting a plexiglass install, this was too difficult to get nice clean cuts and hence joints so i filled and faired the plexiglass and sprayed it with BMW silver, i then used carbon fibre to form the front and the top.

Hardware, Epia M10000, 40Gb 5200 IDE HD 3.2", Sony DVD/CD-RW, PW-70A, ITPS. 7" Digital WW in dash monitor, sadly not VGA as it was not affordable at the time.

Control Gadgets Touchscreen, Powermate, ATI Remote Wonder Rikaline 6010GPS

Software: XP Pro, The awesome FRODOPLAYER and Awesome MapMonkey 1.1.3 these are the best software available IMHO.

Anyway Here is the car and the photos.

I agree, your use of space is excellent. The install looks nice. Is the fan next to your ear a bit noisy?

Doesn't the case annoy you being next to your ear? I am wondering why you didn't make use of the space beneath the seats (it would fit) behind the seats, under the front hood (easy wiring) or in the boot (best place but a PITA for wiring) - It nice that it's original, but it just seems a strange place!

The fan is a silent one and makes hardly any noise, nothing can be heard with the engine running

I wanted to have it in a place that is accesable as i wanted to be able to get to the DVD/CD-RW drive and also it looks quite cool at night.

ALso i was trying to go for the flux capacitor look from back to the future HE HE the flan has an led that also flashes making it look like the flux capacitor.

Now all you need to go is convert your doors to gullwing stylee and have some smoke gernerators hooked up when they open (and the astronaut suit).

Good work on getting the install done. personally i wouldn't have my PC there - especially for security - but if you like it there its you install - but then again i do have a hatchback with rear seats so putting a PC there would be a bit silly!!!!

That is a crazy *** steering wheel! Thats got to hurt if you head-butt it ina crash - i'd be putting some racing harnesses in so i don't hit it!
