looks really nice twopoint! i have to ask...i did almost the same thing except i used a 8 inch lilli and a slim dvd burner in place of where u put the radio..anyway my point is..i dunno how but my bondo shrunk a little and absorbs all the primer that went on top of it...i took it to a professional body shop and hes the one who tried..my point is..im not satisfied with the result and was wondering if you had any pointers on what you used to keep it from warping on you..ill email you a pic and show you what im talking about..basically it was bondo-ed than sanded to perfection...he applied primer and paint...am i missing something?? HELP!

when you bondo, you have to layer it. not all at one time.
if you seal it it shouldn't continue to absorb. what are you using for primer?

i dunno...he ordered some special sealer primer stuff..he had my dash for almost 2 weeks and it still didnt turn out too good.. im gonna sand it all down and redo it...tell me how i should do this..ima sand away all the paint around the bondo and sand the rest of the paint to roughen it up to repaint it..after i sand away the paint where its bondo-ed, what do i do? apply more bondo? sand again and smooth out perfect? what type of sealer should i use?

I have no idea what to tell you, I would try the fabrication thread and talk to the experts

yeah- If you haven't already- hit the fabrication section and remember that bondo is a filler, not a building block unless you layer it, as mentioned by twopoint. Since everything is dry already, you should be ok with adding (gulp!) more bondo as long as its just to fill in things after you are done sanding. If you use any more "special" types of paint or primer, make sure you test it out one something disposable!
