    Current Install

    My LCD

I just installed a illuminated keyboard today

Before Cutting Glove Box (it wouldn't close with the keyboard on top)

    Closed Keyboard

    Opened Keyboard

    GloveBox can still be used

by knocking on wood i mean that i took a look at your first install, and you installed the drive with some rubber bands... meaning if you hit a curb, wouldn'tit "knock" th wood?

    great work though...

oh, lol ok no nothing knocked because what i did not take a pic of was the final sealed box.... with air vents of coures, but i shuffled down to spotlight (a craft store) and picked up some black foam, and glued that to either end of the drive and gently wedged it in there so it could spring around freely and have lateral dampening without effecting the vertical drop much, just incase i hit a pothole, bocause as we all know.... hitting a pothole @ 100km/h (60mp/h) if not a nice thing for a HDD to experiance... and if you have a lowered car like mine on low profile tyres, it feels like you just cleared the grand canyon

for the record though, my WD 80gb HDD DID infact die after 12months..... so mabey that was not the best soloution..... i thing ill save up and get some compact flash\ide converters and use those.... no moving parts to go wrong... oh BTW this is the beast i am hoping to buy... just got to work out some water cooling system in a sealed box for it.... then find where to squeese it

    Phobos Nice install man

Sorry i didn't check it out sooner i've been very busy lately and i really don't have much money to do the rest of my carputer install as i'm spending it on a personal trainer and gym :P so i havent visited this place as much.

But great work i love the case you had for the pc and subs it looks great i love it very professionl

This new car you wanna buy is a BEAST hehe

There is space in it i believe there is a small hatch behind the seats which you can put the PC in

There are 1 or 2 guys who have a hilux in the melbourne meet thread so u can ask them

Or you can always try the glove box

Again sorry i didn't reply sooner
