Congratulations on a nice clean install.
Hi... I've been Idle for a while and my page seems to be down for some reason ... Here's a link to a short video I shot of my carputer on&running
And here's an extended description (in spanish but plenty of photos anyway ) of my project:
Looks great! Have you thought of flush mounting the LCD in that bottom compartment?
Damn that's sexy!! Realy love those Audis.
Love how worked in the screen. Easy to hide the screen and left the original console unchanged! Thumbs up!
Ha, you were getting your *** beat by the computer on NeoGeo.
Yeah man Shooting a demo movie and playing fighting games with a mini-keyboard and a single hand Is a bit trickyOriginally Posted by rafaelsherman
Thanks for your comments. Now I'm planning to buy a radar detector and somehow integrate it into my carputer... I'll post about it as I figure out how to carry out such challenge
Do you have Valentine-1 radar detectors there? I would highly recommended it.
I've done some research and I will definetely will go for a Valentine 1... I thought it would not work because it had no ku band support, but this feature is built in and can be activated for use outside of the US... Besides... and most important... our man Zpilott has carried out a great job designing an interface and application to visualize alerts and status of the detector via the carpc... Can't wait to get mine wired and running
Yeah that is why I suggested the V1. It is a great radar detector and with the interface application makes it even better.
what exactly is that cover thing you have over the lcd? is it a rotating mechanism or simply a piece of plastic you just put there to hide it?
if it rotates then how did you manage that and do you have any pics of it in action.
